ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

NHCORR has an opening for an energetic and creative individual interested in joining a grassroots organization as an administrative assistant.  This is a dynamic opportunity that offers a wide variety of skill set training. We are looking for someone to be the initial contact of the organization, to present a professional, welcoming and supportive presence to the people we serve and support the daily operations of NHCORR.

Job Description

 

Purpose: To support day-to-day operation of a small non-profit organization.

 

Responsibilities include: 

 

1. Administrative Support, including but not limited to:

  • Answer phones, respond to emails, greet visitors

  • Purchase office supplies and keep storage room stocked and organized

  • Prepare for Board of Directors meetings

  • Maintain organizational files and documents

  • Serve as first point of contact for the organization

  • Manage databases

  • Perform general administrative support

 

2. Special Events

  • Coordinate NHCORR tabling at community events

  • Coordinate NHCORR Training sessions

  • Assist with coordination of event logistics

 

3. Communications

  • Assist with print and electronic newsletters

  • Coordinate website updates

  • Assist with member communications

  • Coordinate mass communications

  • Maintain organizational archives

 

4. Take on additional tasks as directed by the Executive Director

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years related experience 

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing 

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic work environment 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision 

  • Solid written and oral communication skills and excellent phone manners

  • Ability to develop effective work plans, organize details, set priorities, and meet deadlines 

  • Interest in and commitment to NHCORR’s mission is helpful.

Reports to: Executive Director

 

Schedule: This is a 40 hour per week position, Monday through Friday during daytime hours. There is some flexibility in scheduling.

Compensation: Competitive salary, vacation and employer paid health insurance package.
